Christie Tomm Addona is a partner at Silverberg Zalantis LLC where she works on litigation and appeals, as well as land use applications. She advises municipal boards, including those in the Towns of Haverstraw and Ossining and Village of Tarrytown, acting as lead attorney for the Ossining Town Board and the Zoning Boards of Appeals for both Ossining and Tarrytown. She also counsels parties appearing before municipal land use boards. In addition, Christie has worked on a number of Article 78 proceedings either defending or challenging administrative decisions. She further assists the firm’s clients with employment law issues and commercial litigation. Christie regularly lectures on zoning and land use topics and has been acknowledged since 2018 by NY Metro Super Lawyers as a “rising star” in the area of Land Use and Zoning Law.
Prior to joining Silverberg Zalantis LLC, Christie was employed by civil litigation law firms and worked on cases from commencement of lawsuit through trial and appeal. Christie has worked with a variety of clients, including large corporate entities, not-for-profit corporations, and individuals. Her prior experience includes insurance defense, tort, maritime, contract and employment law.
Ms. Addona received a Bachelor of Arts with majors in economics and history from Swarthmore College and graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law where she was the Executive Notes & Comments Editor of the Journal of Civil Rights & Economic Development.
